Today in White Sox Baseball (March 31, 2025) — Home Series Openers Every Day, Please

It’s always great when you can win a game by nine and hold your opponent to two hits. It’s even better when the opponent is a longtime nemesis, with a fan base currently ABSOLUTELY MELTING DOWN over an 0-4 start to the season.
It was a clear day in Chicago, but the White Sox played as if another tarp-tornado storm was heading in to mess with the game like yesterday, because all nine runs came in the first three innings. Almost all of the scoring came via homer, so let’s take a look.
Andrew Vaughn (!) with a three-run blast in the first inning to provide all the support that would end up being needed:
And now, Andrew Benintendi’s three-run shot in the second, pushing the lead to 7-0:
And finally, Michael A. Taylor’s two-run screaming meemie to close of scoring for the game … in the third inning:
The White Sox received a fantastic effort from their rotation once more, as Martín Pérez was not perfect, but he went scoreless and hitless through six innings:

The White Sox, amazingly, are 2-2 and NOT in last place in the AL Central. And in a marked contrast to last year’s always-cold offense, their overall run differential is now +14 despite the .500 record.
