It’s been a long time coming, but now is the time for Chicago’s No. 8 prospect to shine in the big leagues

With another fantastic (but close!) loss at Cleveland on Wednesday, the White Sox are now playing at the exact pace — 2-9 — as the record-breaking, 41-121 White Sox of a year ago. Along with the Atlanta Braves, the White Sox have the worst record in all of baseball.

Chicago White Sox can’t resist Travis Jankowski, so much so that they signed him to a Minor League deal after cutting him earlier in the week.

The White Sox wasted a brilliant start from Shane Smith — hitless two outs into the sixth inning — when the abuser closer gave away the game in the ninth. Well, at least Birmingham won today.
