Today in White Sox Baseball (April 3, 2025) — Bullpen Woes in Charlotte

Norfolk Tides 6, Charlotte Knights 3
Uh-oh, the downfall of the Knights has begun! OK we can relax, it’s just a two-game losing streak. Much like the parent club, Charlotte’s offense is starting to get a bit too much into the wild mood swings, as it was handcuffed to three hits on Wednesday and just four tonight. Highlights of those few include a double from Kyle Teel and a 2-for-4 night from Corey Julks. Edgar Quero went 0-for-3 but kept his on-base streak alive with a walk.

This was a tale of two bullpens for the Knights, as rehabbing Tyler Gilbert (see below) and newcomer Eric Adler were aces, while ol’ reliables Garrett Schoenle (four outs, three runs, two earned) and Adisyn Coffey (working his third game in six days, what gives, getting four outs against two earned).

KNIGHTS NOTES: In advance of the openers for the other three full-season affiliates, Eric Adler was promoted from Birmingham to the Knights, with Oscar Colás, amazingly, demoted to Double-A … LHRP Tyler Gilbert started an MLB rehab assignment by striking out four over two hitless, scoreless innings … Dominic Fletcher, who was outrighted to Charlotte on March 31 after clearing waivers, saw his first action as well, batting ninth and going 0-for-4 with a K.
