Sharing Sox Podcast 140 — A week until spring (training, that is)!
With a week until pitchers and catchers report to start the old ball rolling again, duty geezer Leigh Allan and his son and west coast correspondent, Will, delve into some of the predictions made for the White Sox for 2025, in the process getting a good laugh at the computers that think the team will lose 100 or fewer games … so much for artificial intelligence.
The two do their best to find places where the Sox have improved this time around, other than getting a manager with a basic understanding of the sport, but find it difficult to come up with much unless Luis Robert Jr. remembers he’s supposed to be good in odd-numbered years. Well, that and bidding good-bye to Martín Maldonado.
Still, the season will be fresh and new, and hope springs eternal and all that. Great thought, unless your hope springs so eternal you actually put money down on it. You’re welcome to point out all the places where we’re wrong. Or the computers are.
