Roman Reigns interrupted a steel cage match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins last night on Raw.

The announcers narrated footage from past cage matches at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, including:

·      Bruno Sammartino over Ivan Koloff to retain the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) title

·      Jimmy Snuka diving off the top of the cage onto Magnificent Muraco

·      Randy “Macho Man” Savage over Ted DiBiase to retain the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) title

Punk was about to walk out the open door to win the match when Rollins’ insults inspired him to keep fighting.

Reigns dragged Rollins out of the door (giving him the victory) before attacking him on the floor.

Later, Reigns’ “Wiseman” Paul Heyman was consoling Punk for his loss, so Reigns attacked Punk, too.

Remember, Punk threw Reigns out of the Royal Rumble.

Also remember, Heyman owes Punk a favor for helping Reigns and the Original Bloodline win the WarGames match at Survivor Series.

We could see Rollins-Punk-Reigns in a three-way match. If it’s the main event, that would fulfill Punk’s career-long dream.

Speaking of potential three-way battles, Rhea Ripley interrupted a promo between WrestleMania opponents Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair.

CAN YOU BEAT THE YEET?

Jey Uso warmed up for his World title match at WrestleMania by defeating Grayson Waller in the opener.

Gunther showed up after the match and put Uso to sleep again. Well, Gunther said he would attack Uso every week.

Logan Paul threatened to suplex comedian Andrew Schultz, but AJ Styles arrived and made the save.

WHO WAS THAT MASKED MAN?

The New Day defeated Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee of the Latino World Order in a Texas tornado match.

A man wearing a USA-themed mask attacked both luchadores, allowing New Day to hit the UpUpDownDown (Demolition-style stomp) for the pin.

Later, Chad Gable denied that he was the attacker, as a man matching that description was ejected from the building.

Raquel Rodriguez scored a big win over Bayley with the Tejana Bomb. Rodriguez is gunning for a shot at women’s Intercontinental champion Lyra Valkyria.

CODY-CENA SHOWDOWN

WWE champion Cody Rhodes talked about his plans to stop John Cena from winning a record-breaking 17th championship at WrestleMania.

They will come face-to-face next week on Raw in Brussels, Belgium. That show will have a special start time of 3 p.m. Eastern.
