WWE NXT: Triple Threat Championship Match Set for Stand & Deliver
The biggest show on the NXT calendar is Stand & Deliver, which takes place on Saturday of WrestleMania weekend.
Last night, NXT champion Oba Femi found out that he will have two challengers on that show: Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans.
Dark State attacked all three men, setting up a six-man tag team match on next week’s show.
UNPOPULAR DECISION
Stephanie Vaquer defended the NXT and North American women’s titles last week. Her reward was Ava stripping her of the NA title.
The fans didn’t like that decision one bit.
Vaquer said the only way she would give up the belt is if she can pick her challenger for the NXT women’s title at Stand & Deliver.
Jordynne Grace and Jaida Parker came out and argued over who should get the title shot. Let Stephanie choose!
A new North American women’s champion will emerge at Stand & Deliver in a six-woman ladder match.
In qualifying matches, Zaria defeated Lash Legend; and Kelani Jordan upset Roxanne Perez.
ANOTHER AEW-to-WWE CHAMP
Last week, we talked about how almost every wrestler who has jumped from AEW to WWE has won a championship.
Add Ricky Saints to that list, as he defeated Shawn Spears for the North American title in the main event.
The only exception to the rule is CM Punk, who won the WWE title and several other belts in his first stint with the company but none in the second.
Fellow AEW alumnus Ethan Page attacked Saints after the match. That could be another bout at Stand & Deliver.
I WANNA BE LIKE YOU
Hank Walker & Tank Ledger continued their pattern of getting a pep talk from a tag team, emulating that team, and then losing the match.
Pretty Deadly pumped up Hank & Tank, who lost their match to No Quarter Catch Crew (Tavion Heights & Myles Borne).
