WWE Elimination Chamber Flashback: Jack Swagger and Randy Orton Are Victorious (2013 and 2014)
The 2013 Elimination Chamber winner would earn a World title shot at WrestleMania 29. The Rock and John Cena were already set to battle for the WWE championship.
Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan started the match. Jack Swagger emerged next, followed by Kane, Randy Orton, and Mark Henry, known as âThe Worldâs Strongest Man.â
Henry used his signature powerslam to eliminate Bryan and Kane.
Noticing this trend, the other three wrestlers teamed up to eliminate Henry. Orton scored the pin with the RKO.
Henry wouldnât go away before wiping out Swagger, Jericho, and Orton with the Worldâs Strongest Slam.
Orton pinned Jericho after another RKO, but Swagger rolled up Orton for the victory.
Swagger went on to WrestleMania 29, where he challenged World champion Alberto Del Rio. Swagger lost by submission to the cross-armbreaker.
CHAMBER 2014
The 2014 PPV also featured only one Chamber match, but it was for the WWE World title. Randy Orton had unified the WWE and World titles in December 2013 with a win over John Cena.
Sheamus and Cesaro started the match. They would later form a successful tag team called The Bar.
Daniel Bryan, Christian, John Cena, and Randy Orton entered before anyone was eliminated.
Christian hit a Frog Splash off the pod to pin Sheamus. Bryan pinned Christian after a Busaiku Knee Kick.
Cena forced Cesaro to submit to the STF (Stepover Toehold Facelock).
The Wyatt Family broke into the Chamber and attacked Cena, causing him to lose to Orton.
Kane entered the Chamber as well, and he pulled the referee out of the ring when Bryan was trying to pin Orton. Kane attacked Bryan, his former partner, and Orton retained the championship.
Orton went on to WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans. He defended the belt in a Triple Threat match against Bryan and Royal Rumble winner Batista.
Bryan won the championship and led the arena in a âYES!â chant while holding up both title belts.
