Wings Announce Game Against Caitlin Clark, Fever Moved To AAC

In 2024, many WNBA teams who play in smaller arenas moved their contests against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever to bigger arenas nearby.

The Dallas Wings were not one of them as they kept their home contests against the Fever at the College Park Center in Arlington.

However, that will not be the case in 2025…

On Wednesday morning, the Wings announced that their June 27th contest against Clark and the Fever will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

New Wings sponsor Albert will be the presenting sponsor of the game, which will feature “A Night In Dallas” theme.

“We are thrilled to bring WNBA basketball to American Airlines Center for the first time,” Dallas Wings CEO Greg Bibb said.

“Having the best women’s basketball players on the planet playing in a world-class venue such as American Airlines Center is truly fitting.

Hosting this game at AAC provides our athletes with the well-deserved opportunity to be showcased in front of a record home crowd. Playing our first game in our future home city of Dallas offers our fans not only a new and unique opportunity to experience the WNBA but also enjoy a preview of what is to come.”

The AAC holds up to 20,000 fans compared to the CPC on the campus of UTA which holds just 7,000.

Last season, the Wings’ two regular season contests and its preseason matchup with the Fever were sold out.

Wings season ticket Members, whose tickets will be honored for the American Airlines Center game, will receive exclusive presale access to purchase additional tickets beginning on March 24 at 10 a.m. CT. Tickets for the general public will go on sale on March 26 at 10 a.m. CT.

Fans who do secure tickets to this contest will get the chance to see the three most recent No. 1 WNBA Draft picks. Dallas has this year’s top pick which is expected to be Paige Bueckers and the Fever feature Clark and the 2023 top selection Aliyah Boston.

Dallas will tip off their season on May 16th when they take on the Minnesota Lynx at the CPC at 6:30 PM.

The Wings will play two preseason contests before that, one against the Las Vegas Aces at Notre Dame on May 2nd and one against the Toyota Antelopes on May 10th in Arlington.
