Cleveland Browns 2025 NFL Mock Draft 2.0
Today it was announced the Cleveland Browns have signed quarterback Joe Flacco as their veteran bridge QB and, in my opinion, it changes what the team will do with the number two pick. I have long been an advocate for drafting the talented defensive end, Abdul Carter and they still might, but if they can get Travis Hunter to commit to playing wide receiver, then he would be the logical and value pick at two. Considering all this, my current Browns mock draft looks a little different. Again, I’ll have no trades and base my picks on a players Relative Athletic Score (RAS), the Browns age guardrails and player visits.
Round 1, Pick 2, Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado.
Round 2, Pick 33, Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss.
Round 3, Pick 67, J.T. Tuimoloau, DE, Ohio St.
Round 3, Pick 94, Cameron Skattebo, RB, Arizona St.
Round 4, Pick 104, Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon.
Round 6, Pick 179, Caleb Ransaw, S, Iowa State.
Round 6, Pick 192, Jalen Travis, OT, Iowa St.
Round 6, Pick 200, Brashard Smith, RB, SMU.
Round 6, Pick 216, Cody Simon, LB, Ohio St.
Round 7, Pick 255, Jabber Muhammed, Oregon, CB.
With the Flacco signing, it just makes sense to pick the dynamic wide receiver Travis Hunter to resurrect Cleveland’s pitiful offense. At the beginning of the second round, I selected the second half of the future one-two punch with Jaxson Dart. In the third round, I helped both the defense and the offense, with the selections of J.T. Tuimoloau to bookend Myles Garrett and Cameron Skattebo to be the new featured running back. In the fourth round I again focused on the offense by selecting tight end Terrance Ferguson, a nice compliment to David Njoku. With the four sixth round picks, I selected for special teams and the future. A safety (Caleb Ransaw), an offensive tackle (Jalin Travis), a running back ( Brashard Smith) and a linebacker (Cody Simon). Finally, in the seventh I chose a cornerback (Jabber Muhammed). I doubt Browns GM Andrew Berry will have all the sixth-round picks or the seventh-round pick, because he likes to these late round picks in trades to secure future picks.
