2025 NFL Draft OL ‘Quick Hitters:’ Mini Scouting Reports for Mid-Round Offensive Linemen

Over the past four months, I have provided you all more detailed scouting reports on the top prospects in this draft. However, due to time constraints that come along with finishing your final semester of college, working, and serving in church ministry, I was unable to write detailed scouting reports for many of the players I have rated in the 40-125 range of this draft. The intention of today’s article is to get you mildly familiar with the best prospects who will still be available in Rounds 2-4.

Today, we will take a closer look at the offensive linemen.

*Note: Players who I have already written full scouting reports for will not be featured in these articles. You may access those on my position rankings article, which may be accessed HERE.

Anthony Belton | OT | North Carolina State | 6’6″, 336 lbs
  • Great power once he gets his body moving in the right direction
  • Drives defenders backward once he locks on; plays through the whistle
  • Lackluster footwork at times
  • Doesn’t use his hands well
Charles Grant | OT | William & Mary | 6’5″, 311 lbs
  • Looks the part with ideal length and solid athleticism across the board
  • Technically sound as a run defender
  • Needs to play with lower pads
  • Anemic hand usage
Jared Wilson | C | Georgia | 6’3″ | 310 lbs
  • Elite athleticism that goes beyond his speed
  • Possesses the mobility to pull
  • Great hand usage
  • Needs to get stronger at the point of attack
  • Limited experience, being only a one-year starter
Marcus Mbow | OT/G | Purdue | 6’4″, 303 lbs
  • Instinctual blocker who times his punches well as a pass protector
  • Above-average athlete with elite quickness off the snap
  • His 32″ arms will force him to the inside in the NFL
  • Lacks power as a run defender
Ozzy Trapilo | OT | Boston College | 6’8″, 316 lbs
  • Clean kick-slide
  • Moves smoothly and quickly out of his stance
  • Typical “tall” tackle who struggles to get the pads low as a run defender
  • Only average arm length
Emery Jones, Jr. | OT/G | LSU | 6’5″, 315 lbs
  • Strong trunk in pass protection and respectable leg drive as a run blocker
  • Great length
  • Powerful hands
  • Plays off-balanced and over his feet in pass protection
  • Poor technique and footwork in pass protection will force him to guard in the NFL
Dylan Fairchild | G | Georgia | 6’5″, 318 lbs
  • Quick to adapt in pass coverage
  • Effective hand usage and accurate hand placement
  • Displays toughness but lacks elite play strength; can get bullied by power rushers
Jonah Monheim | C | USC | 6’4″, 302 lbs
  • Consistent collegiate center who displays solid athleticism
  • Incredibly versatile; has experience at tackle, guard, and center
  • Dangerously short arms put him at risk of being out of the league in 2 years
