Stars Lose Jason Robertson To Injury Days Before Playoffs
Going into Wednesday night’s regular season finale against the Nashville Predators, there wasn’t much at stake for the Dallas Stars.
Dallas already had their spot in the first round locked up with a matchup against the Colorado Avalanche just days away.
However, just about the worst imaginable happened.
Stars forward Jason Robertson went down the tunnel with a knee injury and did not return to the game.
“The purpose of resting people down the stretch was to hopefully avoid injury, and unfortunately, we didn’t do that with the Robertson injury,” Stars head coach Pete DeBoer said after the game. “So, tough night.”
According to reports, Robertson left the arena in a knee brace and looked like he was still in some pain.
An update on whether Robertson will be a go for the start of the series will likely come on Friday.
This comes in addition to the news that Miro Heiskanen likely won’t play in Game One on Saturday.
On the positive side of the injury front, the Stars got Tyler Seguin back in the lineup last night as he looks to be a full go for the postseason.
Dallas enters the postseason having lost their last seven regular-season games.
