Our flagship podcast, Affected by Altitude, hosted by Evan Lang and Skyler Timmins, covers all the happenings of the big league club. This week, Evan and Skyler discuss how the Colorado Rockies rotation has done everything it’s supposed to but is still losing ballgames due to a bumpy bullpen and inconsistent, anemic offense. Thankfully, both the rotation and the offense are being infused with some much-needed young and exciting blood. Chase Dollander joined the Rockies rotation, making his debut on Sunday against the Athletics. The young right-hander dazzled in front of the home crowd at Coors Field, bringing some hope and excitement to a team in need of a spark. Then, it was announced that the team plans on calling up 2020 first-round pick Zac Veen while optioning Jordan Beck. The Rockies have needed some spark and bringing in the youth like they always should have could go a long way in making the team more interesting than it has been to start the year.
