Rockets Down Pelicans In Return Home

After a long road trip, the Houston Rockets returned to the Toyota Center to take on the Pelicans on Saturday night.

Their return did not disappoint as Houston took down New Orleans for the second consecutive game, this time by a resounding 146-117 final.

Dillion Brooks led the way for the Rockets with 27 points while knocking down 7 three-pointers on a +16 rating.

Alperen Sengun had another strong all around game finishing with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists with 2 steals and 2 blocks to go with it.

Amen Thompson finished with 15 points and a resounding 11 assists with 9 rebounds to nearly complete a triple-double.

Thompson did leave the game with an ankle injury. The Rockets await the news on that front, as Ime Udoka did not have an update after the game.

Jalen Green and Tari Eason finished with 14 and 12 points, respectively, putting all Houston starters in double figures.

The Rockets’ bench ran deep on Saturday as Udoka used 8 players to navigate the blowout of New Orleans.

Aaron Holliday led the way with 20 points. 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and a strong +23 rating while shooting 7-14.

Jabari Smith Jr continued his strong play off the bench, scoring 14 points with 5 rebounds and 2 steals to go along with it.

The Rockets’ long homestand continues on Monday as they take on the Orlando Magic at 7:00 PM.
