Reacting To The Anonymous NBA Player Poll PT 2

Earlier this week,

The Athletic released one of, if not their most coveted, articles across the sports landscape.

The Anonymous NBA Player Poll 2025 was dropped with many topics, from overrated and underrated players and coaches to the MVP and the finals winner.

Let’s break it all down in Part Two.

What is the league’s best organization (Golden State Warriors, 21.9%)? It’s not hard to see why players feel the Warriors are the best-run organization.

After completing a dynasty, Golden State found a way to grab another championship in 2022 and pulled itself from a Play-In spot to contention this season in large part due to the Jimmy Butler trade.

This is one of the rare questions of the Anonymous Poll that I feel takes into account years of the past. With that being said, shortly, the OKC Thunder (2nd place, 17.5%) or Boston Celtics (3rd place, 15.7%) very well could find themselves on top, especially with both having a very realistic chance of bringing home the title this season.

What is the league’s worst organization? Charlotte Hornets (38.1%). Once again, this is another non-shocker. It doesn’t take an expert to realize that the Hornets are one of the worst-run organizations in all of sports.

The only stat you need to prove this basis is that the Hornets haven’t made the postseason since 2015-2016 and haven’t won a playoff series since the 2003-2004 season.

With failed ownership and numerous failed head coaches and GMs throughout that stretch, it seems that nothing can go right in Charlotte.

Aside from your own current coach, who is the best coach in the league? Mark Daigneault, OKC Thunder 21.8% – The fact that Daigneault gets the most out of 10+ guys on his team says why he won this award. OKC’s 68-14 record was one of the best in NBA history.

I will say, I am surprised that Ime Udoka came in at just 3.4% (8th). In each of his two seasons at the Helm in Houston, Udoka has improved the win total significantly, and this season has them as the 2 seed.

Aside from your own current coach, who is the worst coach in the league? Brian Keefe, Washington Wizards (24.7%) – To think there are several other guys below Keefe who have been fired already is pretty surprising, however, it may not be much longer before Keefe joins them. After the Wizards’ 18-64 record, this isn’t surprising.

Which player in the league would you least like to fight? James Johnson 63.1% – He has a black bet… that’s about all the explanation this needs.
