Rangers Offense Struggles Once Again In 2-1 Loss To A’s
You’ve read this story before.
No, not this exact one, but the theme. You’ve seen this theme many times from the 2025 Texas Rangers.
A strong pitching performance gets wiped out by an offense that just can’t seem to get the big hit when they need it.
Unfortunately, that was once again the case tonight as the Rangers mustered just one run as they fell to the A’s 2-1.
“You keep pushing through this, you gotta weather this,” Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said after the game.
“Keep fighting, that’s all you can do, and figure out a way to get this offense going here, we’re all fighting to get this thing going and we’ll continue to do that”.
The Rangers’ offensive struggles aren’t coming from a lack of change. Once again tonight, Bochy shifted the lineup, moving Kyle Higashioka to the second spot and Adolis Garcia and Jake Burger down to 7th and 8th, respectively.
Before the game, the Rangers players took the initiative, holding a hitters meeting with themselves and coaches alike.
However, despite all of that, Texas didn’t see results in this one.
The Rangers had just one extra base hit on the night, a Kyle Higashioka double in the 6th inning. An inning in which Texas had the bases loaded at one point but just scored a single run in the frame.
“You go through stretches like this, and every single day you gotta believe that you’re gonna come out of it. It’s gonna take a couple guys to come through in those big moments”.
