No Mobley No Problem, Cavs Beat Bulls, 139-117
On Tuesday March 4th the 50-10 Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to Chicago Illinois to play the 24-37 Chicago Bulls at the United Center. The Cavaliers last game was a 133-129 win at home in overtime against the Portland Trailblazers last Sunday. The Bulls last game was a 127-112 loss to the Indiana Pacers on the road last Sunday too. Out for the Cavaliers in this game was Evan Mobley for rest purposes. Out for the Bulls was Ayo Dosunmu, Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams, and E.J. Lidell. Lonzo Ball and Josh Giddey were listed as questionable for this game. The Cavaliers were going for their 51st win of the season and have already clinched a playoff berth.
In the first quarter the Cavaliers played sluggish and fell behind the Chicago Bulls, they trailed after the first 12 minutes of play 29-24. In the second quarter the Cavaliers rallied back, but they trailed at halftime 58-57. In the third quarter, the Cavaliers took the lead and after three quarters of play the Cavaliers led the Bulls 96-94. In the fourth and final quarter the Cavaliers kicked it into another gear and completely dominated the Bulls for their 51st win of the season 139-117.
The Cavaliers’ leading scorer was Donovan Mitchell with 28 points in 28 minutes. Jarett Allen had another double-double with 25 points and 17 rebounds in 30 minutes of play. Up next for the 51-10 Cleveland Cavaliers is a trip back home to play the 29-31 Miami Heat on Wednesday March 5th at 7 pm eastern time, at the Rocket Arena in downtown Cleveland Ohio. The NBA leading Cleveland Cavaliers with each game played this season takes a step closer to history. Just like in 2016 with LeBron James, history is going to repeat itself.
