Cavs Stomp the Knicks, 142-105

On Friday February 21st at 7pm eastern time, the 45 -10 Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the 37-18 New York Knicks at the newly named Rocket Arena in downtown Cleveland Ohio. The Cavaliers defeated the Brooklyn Nets the night before in Brooklyn New York 110-97. The Knicks beat the Chicago Bulls at home in overtime 113-111 the night before this game. For the Cavaliers Dean Wade, Issac Okoro and Ty Jerome were listed as questionable. All three of them played that night. Out for the Knicks was Mitchell Robinson and Josh Hart, OG Anunoby was listed as questionable for this game. The Cavaliers went into the game with the NBA’s best record at 45-10 and want to add to their 5-game win streak.

In the first quarter the game’s energy and pace had a playoff feel to it. The Cavaliers led the Knicks after the first quarter of play 41-29. In the second quarter, the Cavaliers pulled ahead of the Knicks and led at halftime 77-50. In the third quarter, the Cavaliers continued their onslaught of the New York Knicks and led after three quarters of play 110-79. In the fourth and final quarter, the Cavaliers kept up their winning pace and curb stomped the New York Knicks 142-105. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 46-10 and have the best record in NBA.

The Cavaliers’ leading scorer was Donovan Mitchell with 27 points in 26 minutes. The Cavaliers had 6 players with double digit scoring in this game. Up next for the 46-10 Cleveland Cavaliers is hosting the 37-19 Memphis Grizzlies Sunday February 23rd, 7 pm eastern time, at the Rocket Arena in downtown Cleveland Ohio. The Memphis Grizzlies are the second seed in the Western Conference. This game could be a preview of the NBA Finals this summer. Another postseason preview for the team with the best record in the NBA. It’s another test for this Cleveland Cavaliers team, a test they can pass with flying colors.
