Cavs Destroy Heat in Game 3, 124-87, take 3-0 series lead
On Saturday April 26th, 2025, at 1 pm eastern time, the Eastern Conference top seed Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to Miami Florida to play the eight seed Miami Heat in game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round Playoff series, at the Kesaya Center. In game two of this series last Wednesday the Cavaliers took a 2-0 series lead by beating the Heat 121-112. Out for the Cavaliers in this game was Darius Garland with a toe injury. The Heat were without Terry Rozier and Kevin Love. The Cavaliers were trying to take a 3-0 series lead and advance quickly to the second round of the playoffs.
In the first quarter the Miami Heat started hot and took an early lead. But the Cavaliers answered and led after one quarter of play 33-20. In the second quarter the Cavaliers added to their lead to pull farther ahead of the Heat and they led at halftime 62-42. In the third quarter the tone stayed the same with the game and the Cavaliers led after three quarters of play 88-64. In the fourth and final quarter the Cavaliers showed no mercy and completed the rout of the Miami Heat on the road 124-87.
The Cavaliers’ leading scorer was Jarrett Allen with 22 points in 26 minutes. The Cavaliers had six players with double digit scoring in this game. This game three of the series win was an overall team effort. Up next for this playoff series is game four on Monday April 28th, 2025, with time to be determined as I write this article. Game four of this series will be played in Miami Florida at the Kesaya Center. With the way this Cleveland Cavaliers team is playing, they should wrap up this series on Monday. They will advance and get ready for their second-round opponent. And that opponent is to be determined.
