Opening Day is finally here!!!

The Texas Rangers open their 2025 season against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday at 3:05 PM CST at Globe Life Field.

Everyone knows that attending an Opening Day game isn’t just showing up to the ballpark for a regular game.

Let’s break down everything you need to know before you go to tomorrow’s season opener.

Both parking lots and gates will open at special times so fans can be inside Globe Life Field to catch all the festivities.

Parking lots will open at 10:00 AM, and gates to Globe Life Field will open at noon in time for fans to watch Rangers batting practice at 12:10. The Rangers are encouraging fans to arrive early for Opening Day.

If you’re one of the first 30,000 fans inside the stadium, you will bring home a 2025 Rangers magnetic schedule.

Before the game, a giant American and Texas flag will be unveiled in the outfield as displayed by Rangers’ season ticket Lone Star members prior to the singing of the National Anthem.

Opening Day festivities also include pregame introductions for both teams.

Once the game gets underway, Garrett Crochet and Nathan Eovaldi will take the bump as one of the best Opening Day pitching matchups in baseball.

Several players will make their team debuts on both sides with Alex Bregman making his Red Sox debut and the likes of Jake Burger and Joc Pederson making their Rangers debuts.

2025 marks the fourth time that the Rangers have played the Red Sox on Opening Day. This will be the first time since 2011 when Texas took down Boston 9-5.

The Rangers and Red Sox have opened the year twice more, once in 2006 with Boston taking home a 7-3 win and in 1996, a 5-3 Texas win.

Following the Opening Day game, the Rangers will finish their series with the Red Sox with games the remainder of the weekend.

Friday’s contest is at 7:05, Saturday at 6:05, and Sunday at 1:35.
