Edge started 2011 strongly, only to find himself in retirement before the year was half over.

Now known as Cope in AEW, Edge came into the year with the World title after winning it in a four-way Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

After a successful title defense against Dolph Ziggler at Royal Rumble, Edge defended the title at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Oakland, Calif.

Edge started the Chamber match against Rey Mysterio. They were followed by Wade Barrett, Kane, Drew McIntyre, and The Big Show.

Barrett was the first man eliminated after a knockout punch by Big Show.

Kane then went on a rampage, pinning Big Show and McIntyre after chokeslams.

Edge pinned Kane after a spear. Rey Jr. came off the top rope, but Edge speared him to win the Chamber match and retain the World title.

Edge went on to defeat Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio to open WrestleMania 27, but “The Rated-R Superstar” soon retired due to a neck injury.

He sat out for several years before returning to WWE, and now he’s the top contender for Jon Moxley’s AEW title.

RAW CHAMBER MATCH

The Miz was the WWE champion after cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase, so the winner of the Raw Chamber match would face him at WrestleMania.

King Sheamus and John Morrison were the first two contestants. Randy Orton was next, and he pinned CM Punk, whose pod malfunctioned when he came out as No. 4.

The Anonymous Raw General Manager gave Punk a do-over and let him back into the match in the No. 6 spot.

Cena came in next, followed by R-Truth. Sheamus pinned R-Truth after a Brogue Kick. Punk re-entered the match and pinned Orton after hitting Go To Sleep.

Morrison dove off the Chamber pod to pin Sheamus, but Punk hit another GTS to pin Morrison.

Cena had the last laugh, pinning Punk with the Attitude Adjustment to win the match.

Shockingly, Cena lost the WrestleMania main event to The Miz after guest host The Rock gave him the Rock Bottom.

This set up the next two WrestleMania main events between Cena and The Rock.
