Final Browns Mock Draft, With Trades!
Happy NFL Draft week! On Thursday, April 24th, the Cleveland Browns will be on the clock as they look to change the trajectory of their franchise with the second overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft. Today, I will do my best to predict what I think the Cleveland Browns will do based on the many rumors and visits surrounding the team since the start of the NFL draft season. In this mock, we will focus on the first three rounds, as well as allow trades, as the Browns have continued to be rumored in all types of draft-day trades. Andrew Berry, the Cleveland Browns, you are on the clock!
Round 1, Pick 2: Travis Hunter, Unicorn, Colorado
The Browns take the best player in the NFL draft in Travis Hunter. Andrew Berry and company have gushed publicly about Hunter, comparing him to MLB star Shohei Ohtani as both players have the unique ability to play multiple positions in their respective sports. Some may argue that Abdul Carter is better, but Berry has made it clear through multiple interviews that Hunter is the Browns’ guy and he will be the pick at pick number 2. Hunter will start his career with the Browns playing a majority of his snaps at wide receiver, but the team has made it known that they are fine with playing Hunter both ways, and getting a two-for-one special on a potential pro-bowler is just too hard to pass on.
TRADE! Browns Trade: Pick 33, 94, 104, 2026 2nd round pick, Greg Newsome II | Falcons Trade: Pick 15
This trade makes sense due to the Falcons’ lack of draft capital in the 2025 draft. The Falcons only possess 5 picks in this draft, 3 of them in rounds 4-7, and adding more young talent to surround their rookie quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., may make more sense than just one top-15 player. The Falcons also add a young corner in Greg Newsome to there secondary to add even more value to this trade. Quantity trumps quality in this case, and the Browns capitalize to select…
Round 1, Pick 15: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
The Browns pair up the dynamic duo of Sanders and Hunter yet again at the NFL level. When the Browns visited Colorado for their pro day earlier this year, Coach Sanders stated, “I think at least one of them will end up there” when asked about the Browns and his top two players, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Sanders makes much more sense to the Browns at pick number 15, even with the draft capital given up, as Sanders can now sit and develop further until it is his time to shine. Sanders fits the Browns’ system like a glove, having many of the traits that other quarterbacks have had that have succeeded under Stefanski, and with his college teammate alongside him, it may only be a matter of time until this duo is considered “legendary.”
Round 3, Pick 67: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
The Browns wrap up with their final pick in the first three rounds following the massive trade to acquire Shedeur Sanders by adding their running back of the present and future, Quinshon Judkins from Ohio State. Judkins is one of only two running backs to go on top 30 visits to the Cleveland Browns, Cam Skattebo being the other. Judkins split careers with fellow running back Treyveon Henderson at Ohio State, meaning his legs are fresher than most backs in this class. His explosive run style and pass-catching ability make Judkins an exciting, new, young back for the Browns to center the offense around, not to mention that if Chubb does return, they would foil off of each other perfectly.
