Browns 2025 NFL Mock Draft 2.0

Rumors have been swirling throughout downtown Cleveland about what the Cleveland Browns will do with the second overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft. Today, in the second version of my 2025 Cleveland Browns Mock draft, I will cover what I think the Browns will do with each of their picks in the first 3 rounds. It is to be noted that I will be attacking this mock draft in what seems to be the mindset of the front office and not what I personally think the team should do. Welcome to the second version of my 2025 Browns mock draft, pre-NFL Combine. The Cleveland Browns are now on the clock!

Round 1, Pick 2: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The Browns have been connected to QB Shedeur Sanders multiple times since my last mock draft. Sanders fits a positional need that the Browns have in Quarterback, and while other prospects like Abdul Carter & Travis Hunter seem to have more talent, I expect the Browns to take a swing for a franchise quarterback, for better or for worse. Make no mistake, Andrew Berry’s seat is hot following the Deshaun Watson trade not working out, and what has more of a chance of saving Berry’s career with the Browns? Hitting on a Quarterback like Sanders who fits Stefanski’s system or taking the best player available and proceeding to have another 3-14 season. The answer is Sanders.

Round 2, Pick 33: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

With Myles Garrett on his way out following a trade request, the Browns have a hole at Edge Rusher. Mike Green is a prospect who has fantastic potential that may fall to the Browns at the top of the second round due to the fact he played in a non-power four conference. Green looked fantastic during the senior bowl according to many scouts at the game. Much like the top EDGE Prospect in the draft, Abdul Carter, Green started his career as a linebacker before transitioning to a true EDGE defender. Green boasted 17 sacks in his final year in college, and while no one player can fill a Myles Garrett sized hole, Green is a step in the right direction.

Round 3, Pick 67: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

If you even think you may need a running back, this is the draft for you. The Browns have yet to resign Nick Chubb as of writing this, and even with that, the browns should still add a new, young running back to the team. Judkins, a championship running back from Ohio State and Ole Miss fame would fit that perfectly. Judkins was viewed as one of, if not the best backs in the country before committing to Ohio State and splitting snaps with TreVeyon Henderson during the 2024 season. Judkins is a complete back with receiving ability, and with his lack of wear and tear due to fewer snaps in his last college season, he is a no-brainer at the top of the third round.

Round 3, Pick 94: Hollin Pierce, OT, Rutgers

The Browns need to use this draft to add to their aging offensive line. They do just that as the third round shapes up adding the 6’8″ Offensive Lineman from Rutgers, Hollin Pierce. Pierce has all the size to be a successful NFL lineman, weighing 345 pounds with his aforementioned height. Pierce was a walk-on at Rutgers, weighing over 400 pounds before transforming his body and becoming a multi-year starter for the Scarlet Knights. One has to think there is still so much untapped potential within Pierce which could end up making him a diamond for the Browns in the third round.
