AEW Dynamite: Death Riders Agree to Match at Grand Slam Australia
Jon Moxley still wonât accept Copeâs World title challenge, but they will do battle in a tag team match in Australia.
Last nightâs Dynamite in Atlanta opened with a brawl between The Death Riders (Moxley, PAC, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli) and Cope, FTR, and âSwitchbladeâ Jay White.
Moxley denied Copeâs challenge after the brawl, but Mox & Claudio will face Cope and White at Grand Slam Australia on Feb. 15.
That will be a late-night show, coming on the air after NBA All-Star Saturday.
HOW TO STOP SWERVE
Ricochet defeated former AEW champion Swerve Strickland after hitting a low blow as Swerve was coming off the top rope.
Ricochet then hit the Spirit Gun lariat for the pin. After the match, he stole the Embassy robe (once worn by the late Jimmy Rave in Ring Of Honor) from Prince Nana.
The Hurt Business accepted a challenge from Colton & Austin Gunn for the AEW tag team title on next weekâs Dynamite.
Also next week, MJF will face Dustin Rhodes. They brawled after MJF said Dustin finally escaped his father Dustyâs shadow, only to be upstaged by his little brother (WWE champion Cody Rhodes).
TALENT SHOW NIGHT
Harley Cameron showed off her ventriloquism skills with Puppet Mercedes Mone. Despite Harley finally scoring an AEW victory, the real Mercedes wonât give her a shot at the TBS title.
âTimelessâ Toni Storm showed off her acting and wrestling skills at the same time. She portrayed Mariah May while defeating Queen Aminata.
Will Ospreay defeated Mark Davis, who has joined the Don Callis Family. This reunites Davis with his Aussie Open partner, Kyle Fletcher.
The Callis Family scored a win when Konosuke Takeshita teamed with Fletcher to beat The Hounds of Hell (Buddy Matthews & Brody King) with a tandem brainbuster.
