AEW Dynamite: Cope Eliminates Death Riders Before Title Bout with Jon Moxley

After months of dominating AEW, Jon Moxley’s Death Riders are finally meeting some resistance.

“The Rated-R Superstar” Cope sidelined PAC last week with the Con-chair-to (double chair slam). He said at the top of last night’s show that he would send another Death Rider to the hospital.

Sure enough, Cope managed to fight off the Death Riders during a brawl and took out Claudio Castagnoli with a Con-chair-to.

Wheeler Yuta accidentally knocked out his Death Rider teammate, Marina Shafir, with a knee strike.

Willow Nightingale came to the ring and blasted Shafir with a Con-chair-to. So, two Death Riders took an ambulance ride.

Moxley watched helplessly because “Switchblade” Jay White was brandishing a chair of his own.

Cope will challenge Moxley for the AEW World title at the Revolution pay-per-view on March 9 in Los Angeles.

HANGMAN-MJF FEUD

“Hangman” Adam Page beat Aaron Solo in the opener with the Buckshot Lariat.

MJF showed up after the match, wiping his bloody hands on a towel. He revealed that he had attacked Page’s friend, the recently retired Christopher Daniels.

NOT BOUNTY-FUL

“Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith turned in a great performance against Will Ospreay, but Keith once again failed to collect a bounty.

Don Callis had placed a bounty on Ospreay’s head before the steel cage match with Kyle Fletcher at Revolution.

Momo Watanabe will get a shot at TBS champion Mercedes Mone on the pay-per-view. Watanabe won the International Women’s Cup match at Wrestle Dynasty last month in Tokyo.

The Undisputed Kingdom beat FTR & Daniel Garcia when Adam Cole pinned Garcia. That means Cole will get a shot at Garcia’s TNT title this Saturday on Collision.

MORE TOP CONTENDERS

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) upset The Murder Machines (Brian Cage & Lance Archer).

As a result, The Outrunners will get a shot at The Hurt Syndicate for the AEW tag team title.

Prince Nana announced that Swerve Strickland would fight Ricochet at Revolution to determine the top contender to the World title.

Nana said he was tired of getting beaten up for Swerve, who needs to get the title and Jimmy Rave’s Embassy robe back.

Harley Cameron bounced back from her loss to Mone in Australia to defeat Deonna Purrazzo.

In the main event, Konosuke Takeshita beat Orange Cassidy to retain the International title. Kenny Omega will get the next title shot at Revolution.
