AEW Collision: FTR Tears Up Its Christmas Card List

This was a bad week to be friends with FTR.

On Sunday, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler attacked Adam Copeland after their loss to The Death Riders at the Dynasty pay-per-view.

FTR opened last night’s Collision episode by explaining that Copeland was holding them back and using them as his “Edge-heads” while he chased a 12th World title.

They almost gave 67-year-old announcer Tony Schiavone a spike piledriver before Nigel McGuinness saved his partner.

Daniel Garcia came to the ring, and Harwood instinctively shoved him to the mat. FTR picked him up and apologized.

Garcia’s friend Matt Menard challenged FTR to face him and Angelo Parker. FTR defeated 2.0 after a pair of spike piledrivers.

After the match, FTR turned on Garcia and gave him the same treatment.

OWEN HART CUP ACTION

Jamie Hayter defeated Billie Starkz in a match that earned both wrestlers a standing ovation. Hayter will face Kris Statlander in the semifinals of the Owen Hart Cup tournament.

In another tournament bout, Athena defeated Harley Cameron with the O-Face (flying stunner from the top rope).

Athena will face Mercedes Mone on Wednesday’s Dynamite in a battle of wrestlers with long winning streaks. Mone will be in her hometown of Boston.

On the men’s side, Konosuke Takeshita defeated Brody King in the main event. He will face Will Ospreay on Dynamite in Boston.

OTHER BOUTS

Anthony Bowens defeated Blake Christian with the Molly-Whop (rolling forearm strike).

The Gates of Agony (Toa Leona & Bishop Kaun) won a squash and demanded a shot at The Hurt Syndicate for the AEW tag team title.

Megan Bayne crushed Kelly Madan & Little Mean Kathleen in a handicap match.

Kevin Knight defeated AR Fox in a high-flying match.

The next Dynamite show will be a celebration of AEW surpassing WCW Monday Nitro for most episodes of wrestling on Turner Sports.

In addition to Mone-Athena and Takeshita-Ospreay, Dynamite will include Hangman Adam Page taking on a wild card entry in the Owen Cup.

Also, Jon Moxley will fill in for the injured PAC as The Death Riders defend the AEW trios title against The Opps (Samoa Joe, Hook & Katsuyori Shibata).
