Ranking Best Options For Cleveland Browns In 2025 NFL Draft
The Cleveland Browns continue to be a lost franchise in the NFL.
The Browns attempted to make a big swing at Deshaun Watson and ended up handing out what looks like the worst contract in NFL history. Cleveland now enters the 2025 NFL Draft with the second-overall pick and will have man options with this selection.
It seems as though the Tennessee Titans will select Cam Ward with the first pick in the draft. This will take him out of the running for Cleveland but it will still land one of the top players in the draft.
Below, check out a rankings of players that the Browns could be selecting.
3. Shedeur Sanders
Watson has spoken out and believes that he will be back quicker than anticipated from a torn Achilles. This does not seem like the popular opinion as Watson is expected to be out for the season and who knows from there. This leaves the Browns as a contender to take a quarterback and Shedeur Sanders will be there. It seems hard to believe that Cleveland will opt for this selection with two extremes talents still on the board but the Browns have made the wrong selection many times before.
2. Abdul Carter
Carter is viewed as the next great edge rusher entering the NFL. It seems like a perfect fit for the Browns. Cleveland was able to play the game with Myles Garrett and handed out the league’s biggest contract to a non-quarterback. The duo of Garrett and Carter could be dynamic for years to come. This would give Cleveland an immediate identity off the edge and the trenches remain important in a loaded AFC North, where Cleveland has fallen behind.
1. Travis Hunter
The Browns have been linked to Hunter in recent weeks and many believe this could be the pick. Hunter is a dual-threat but it is unknown where he will play at the next level. The Browns would be able to get an elite player on either side of the ball. Hunter can also make cameo appearances in the position he does not choose. It is likely that an NFL team uses him on both sides but it will not be to the volume that Deion Sanders did at Colorado. At this point, the Browns just need good players. This is where Hunter would fit in right away and become a franchise player for a team that needs another.
