The New York Giants currently hold the third-overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Giants are a team that won three games last season and have many needs on the roster. First, it begins with the quarterback position.

At No. 3, the Giants will have many options to choose from but it all depends on how the first two picks play out. Below, check out the three best options for New York with its pick.

3. Shedeur Sanders

Cam Ward will be an honorable mention here but it seems likely that he is taken with the. first-overall pick. Unless the Giants trade up, they will not land Ward. This leaves the next quarterback that New York has been linked to but this should be an emergency plan. Sanders comes with off-the-field baggage and many questions on the field. If the Giants miss on this pick, it will set the franchise back even further. Look to other directions.

2. Travis Hunter

Hunter has been gaining steam as the second pick to the Cleveland Browns but he would make a lot of sense for the Giants. It is unlikely that Hunter will be able to play both ways at the next level. That does not mean that he won’t make cameo appearances on both sides of the ball. Hunter will bring an elite player at either corner or wide receiver while also being an option to contribute on both sides. The Giants are a team that needs talent in this draft. Hunter brings that and then some in many ways.

1. Abdul Carter

Carter has met with the Giants and has been linked to many teams in the draft. There is a chance that he falls below the Giants if they opt for a quarterback. There has been uncertainties with Carter since the Giants are linked long-term to Brian Burns. When there is a chance to land a potential All-Pro edge, it should be taken. Again, the Giants are a team that just needs to add talent. They should not be looking to nitpick here. If Carter is not taken in the top two, he should be a Giant on draft night.
