Josh Jung To Return To Lineup At Much Needed Time

The Texas Rangers offense will be getting a much-needed boost when they take on the Cubs tonight at Wrigley Field.

After being shut out last night, thanks in large part to Justin Steele, who threw seven scoreless innings, the Rangers will be getting one of their All-Stars back.

Third Baseman Josh Jung will be in the lineup tonight after missing the last nine games with neck spasms.

Jung first noticed neck pain when he was removed one at bat earlier than the rest of the starters in the Rangers exhibition game, the Monday before Opening Day.

In their final tuneup the next day, Jung was scratched from the Rangers lineup as a precaution with Opening Day just days away.

When Texas opened the season against Boston on Opening Day, Jung was in the lineup and made it through with no issues.

However, the next day, Jung was removed from the game when his neck stiffened up on him while making a diving stop.

Texas has yet to really get going offensively, with most of their top and middle-of-the-order bats struggling immensely.

Getting Jung back will certainly lengthen the Rangers’ lineup and hopefully add another bat that is able to provide some thump.
