WWE Raw: Rhea Ripley Invades Women’s Title Match at WrestleMania 41
After weeks of antagonizing Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley will get her wish and face them for the World women’s title at WrestleMania 41.
Ripley lost the championship to Sky on March 2, but she wasn’t content to watch Sky defend against Belair at the Showcase of Immortals.
Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the Triple Threat match official during the opening segment of last night’s Raw episode from Minneapolis.
FRIEND OR FOE?
Lyra Valkyria continued her impressive run as women’s Intercontinental champion with a win over Bayley.
On Friday’s Smackdown, Bayley and Valkyria will team up in a gauntlet match for a shot at the WWE women’s tag team title.
MUCHA LUCHA
El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) used a loaded mask to win a six-man match. He and The Creed Brothers beat The Latino World Order.
Rey Mysterio challenged Americano to a match at WrestleMania 41.
Penta defeated Rey’s son, Dominik, in a preview of the Intercontinental title match at Mania. Bron Breakker will defend in a four-way bout against Finn Balor, Penta, and Dirty Dom.
The War Raiders were disqualified in their World tag team title defense against The New Day. Ivar hit Xavier Woods with a chair that Woods had brought into the ring.
ANOTHER FAVOR?
Seth Rollins closed the show by antagonizing Paul Heyman. Rollins said he was the first choice to join Heyman’s Bloodline team at Survivor Series.
CM Punk, the apparent second choice, came out for a brawl, only to get curbstomped by Rollins. Heyman was also in the line of fire, but Rollins didn’t attack him.
“Now you owe me a favor,” Rollins said.
