Rockets Take Down Warriors, Inch Closer To Number Two Seed

The Houston Rockets have officially clinched home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

More importantly, Sunday night helped Houston inch ever closer to securing the number two seed in the postseason.

Houston took down the Golden State Warriors 106-96 to open their final road trip of the season with a win.

Dillion Brooks returned from his one-game suspension and dropped a team-high 24 points on 1-13 shooting.

Jalen Green came up huge down the stretch, scoring 21 points with several clutch shots in the 4th to help close out the win.

Alperen Sengun finished with yet another double-double, scoring 19 points while snagging 14 rebounds.

Amen Thompson scored 14 points with 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks to go along with it.

When someone puts up a stat line like that, it’s most of the time going to be the most impressive part of their game, but not for Thompson last night.

Thompson’s defensive effort was the story of the game last night as he limited Steph Curry to just 3 points.

Off the bench, Jabari Smith Jr was the only Rocket in double figures as he scored 16 points in yet another strong performance.

Houston will be back in action on Wednesday as they continue their West Coast swing when they take on the LA Clippers.

With a win, the Rockets will officially clinch the number two overall seed in the Western Conference
