WWE Smackdown: CM Punk Reveals the Favor That Paul Heyman Owes Him
CM Punk shared his secret with 16,000 of his closest friends in the Chicago crowd last night on Smackdown.
Since Punk helped Paul Heyman and Original Bloodline to defeat Bloodline 2.0 in the WarGames match at Survivor Series, Heyman has owed Punk a favor.
Punk dragged out the drama for the entire show, but he finally revealed that he wanted Heyman in his corner for the main event of WrestleMania 41.
Heyman agreed, so he will back Punk in the Triple Threat match against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.
The Wiseman acknowledged Reigns as his Tribal Chief but said that he could not refuse Punk’s request.
FENIX DEBUTS
Rey Fenix made his WWE debut with a victory over Nathan Frazier. Both of AEW’s Lucha Brothers have jumped to WWE, with Fenix on Smackdown and Penta on Raw.
Fenix will take on Berto from the Legado del Fantasma faction next week on Smackdown.
US TITLE MATCH SET
United States champion LA Knight defeated Tama Tonga in a non-title match.
Then he watched a Last Man Standing match between Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman to determine his challenger at WrestleMania.
Fatu smashed Braun through a propped-up table in the ring, keeping the giant down for a 10-count.
Motor City Machine Guns defeated #DIY to earn a WWE tag team title match against The Street Profits.
THE WRATH OF JADE
Naomi defeated B-Fab, but she was attacked before and after the match by Jade Cargill. That’s a match for WrestleMania.
One match that won’t take place at Mania is Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton. Owens announced that he had to drop out due to a severe neck injury.
Fortunately, Owens bailed out of the ring, because Orton gave an RKO to Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis.
