WWE’s NXT is starting to resemble the “Gang Warz” era of the late 1990s.

Teams like the Nation of Domination, Los Boricuas, Disciples of Apocalypse, and Truth Commission kept battling with no end in sight.

Tony D’Angelo’s family has been the top faction in NXT for a while. “The Don” stayed in the back while Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino, and Adrianna Rizzo battled The Culling.

That’s the group led by Shawn Spears, who recently won the North American title from D’Angelo. Spears sent Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance, and Izzi Dame into battle.

At the end of the match, another faction attacked D’Angelo backstage. This is the mystery foursome that debuted with a pair of sneak attacks at Vengeance Day.

The Culling took advantage and won when Vance pinned Lorenzo after a Death Valley Driver.

The new group, which consists of Dion Lennox and three rookies, finally identified themselves as Dark State.

TWO TITLE DEFENSES

Stephanie Vaquer will put both of her championships on the line next week.

Jaida Parker attacked Jordynne Grace and grabbed the first shot at Vaquer’s NXT women’s title.

Later in the show, Fallon Henley lobbied for a rematch for the North American women’s title. She will face Vaquer next week, too.

Chelsea Green defended her women’s US title by defeating Sol Ruca. Green had her Cabinet (Alba Fyre and Piper Niven) by her side, and Zaria was in Ruca’s corner.

CRASH AND BURN

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger tried to wrestle like The Hardy Boyz, but Tank whiffed on a Swanton bomb. Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura beat them with a top-rope splash by Inamura.

Jacy Jayne pinned Karmen Petrovic after hitting the Rolling Encore elbow strike.

Ricky Saints defeated Ridge Holland. Look for Saints to have a big match at Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend.

Trick Williams beat Eddy Thorpe in an NXT Underground match, which can only end in a knockout or submission. Williams used a ground-and-pound attack to score the TKO.
