Raiders Make Maxx Crosby Highest Paid Non-Quarterback Player
Welp, that is a relief. After seeing Maxx Crosby come out and say that he would need to have tough conversations given the direction they could be heading, his future with the Raiders seemed murky at best. Fast forward to today, and Crosby is not only going to be a Raider for years to come but also a player that is paid handsomely.
Maxx Crosby and the Raiders have agreed to a three-year, $106.5M extension that includes $91.5M guaranteed, per @AdamSchefter

The Raiders and Crosby have agreed to a new three year contract and worth $106.5 million. Also, it does include $91 million guaranteed money, so he is getting his pay. Crosby now becomes the highest paid non-quarterback player in NFL History, which is much deserved on his part. This is an exciting day not just for Crosby, but for Raider Nation.
Crosby Signing Signals Meaningful Era Ahead
If you are a Raiders fan you have to be thrilled with this signing. For the first time in what feels like a long time, the Raiders have a direction. This signing for the Raiders is the cherry on top of what has been a home run offseason so far for the Raiders. They hired the coach, landed a top tier general manager, and now locked up their most important piece to the puzzle in Crosby. Crosby has been through a whirlwind since joining the club, but bleeds Silver and Black through and through.
Crosby was a home run selection by former general manager Mike Mayock in the fourth round in 2020. He has been everything and more to this Raiders defense. Crosby has a motor that does not stop and this is a player that plays hurt and never takes plays off. He’s truly been a gem, and as a fan of seeing a player like Khalil Mack get moved, having Crosby is a true gift from the football Gods.
Crosby is a 2x second team all-pro, 2x first team MAC, and a 4x pro bowl talent. Crosby also is seventh in sacks since 2020. Crosby wants to win and wants to win as a Raider, so he feels good about what’s been put in place this winter.
One piece down and many to go in what’s been a successful winter for the Raiders. Now, onto free agency.
