NFL Offseason Wish Lists: AFC South
The 2024 NFL Season is over, and the 2025 Offseason is in full swing! It’s an exciting time for fans and franchises alike as new hope dawns with the records reset for all 32 squads. With that in mind, I want to do a series looking at all 32 teams “Offseason Wish Lists” with a special look at how each team will attack the new league year and how they will use the various methods of adding talent to best prepare their rosters for 2025.
We’ll break it down by division over the coming days. We’ve already looked at the NFC and AFC East Divisions, as well as the NFC South. Up next, the wide-open AFC South:

HOUSTON TEXANS
2024 Result: 10-7 Reg. Season, Lost in AFC Divisional Round
Biggest Needs: OL, DL, WR
1st Round Draft Slot: 25th Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: -$309K
A winning offseason in Houston, more than anything else, means fixing what was a virtual sieve of an Offensive Line to protect their franchise QB in CJ Stroud. Cap space is limited and they don’t have a high Draft selection, but fortunately the IOL group is pretty deep, and there are some OT upgrades available that shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. After that, improving the trenches on the other side of the ball should be the next priority, and, again, the draft is deep along the IDL.
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
2024 Result: 8-9 Reg. Season, Missed Playoffs
Biggest Needs: IOL, CB, TE
1st Round Draft Slot: 14th Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: $28.6M
The Colts still have no idea if their QB is the future of the franchise or not, but they still need to make it a goal to protect him. There’s a bunch of ways Indy could go this offseason. It’s a deep Free Agency pool at Corner, where the Colts need serious upgrades, and they could also use a big-bodied pass-catching TE as a security blanket of sorts for their developing QB. If TE Tyler Warren is available at this pick, I think his slide would stop with Indy. They should be able to solve the OL issues between FA and the Draft.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
2024 Result: 4-13 Reg. Season, Missed Playoffs
Biggest Needs: Secondary, IOL, WR
1st Round Draft Slot: 5th Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: $33.3M
Jacksonville’s biggest needs reside in the defensive secondary, where they could use several additions to what was the league’s worst pass defense in 2024. With $33M+ in cap space and a deep CB group in FA, it’s likely that the Jags double or even triple dip at the position to fix their issues quickly. They need a big-time blocker along the interior of the OL as well, and could stand to add a more serious compliment to 2024 Rookie sensation Brian Thomas Jr. at WR.
TENNESSEE TITANS
2024 Result: 3-14 Reg. Season, Missed Playoffs
Biggest Needs: QB, Edge, WR
1st Round Draft Slot: 1st Overall
Proj. 2025 Cap Space: $54.0M
To me, the Titans’ offseason wish list already has it’s biggest priority already locked up in the form of the 1st Overall Pick in this Draft and the chance to grab the best QB in the class in Cam Ward. He’s an easy Top 10 pick for me, and his upside is worthy of that Draft slot. It doesn’t make sense to me to move off that pick if you’re Tennessee. After QB, the Titans need a pass rusher and they need a pass catcher. They have plenty of cap space and draft capitol to fill in their roster holes.
