Shane Waldron SOMEHOW Got A Job With The Jaguars
If you are a fan of the Chicago Bears, then you probably already know about the complete MESS that was the ‘Shane Waldron Era.’ You probably already know about the bumbling OC who came to us from the Seattle Seahawks, who (reportedly) made Caleb Williams’ first year in the league a bit more rocky than it should have been.
Well, after a few months on the unemployment line…it looks like the man has found a new job. It looks like the 45-year old coordinator has landed in a new home, and will be heading south to join Liam Coen’s Jacksonville Jaguars.

Waldron, for those of you who are unaware, was vilified in the city of Chicago for turning the Bears’ promising offense into one of the biggest laughing stocks in the league. Sure, they started off 4-2. Sure, they had a good start to the year, that tricked every Bears fan in the world into believing that this was “the year.” But after COUNTLESS questionable play calls that made fans want to pull their hair out, which included this MONSTROSITY from their game against the Indianapolis Colts…

…Waldron was let go.
Now obviously, this man will not have the same responsibilities in Jacksonville that he did in Chicago. As the passing game coordinator, he will be working underneath OC Grant Udinski, who is one of the more brilliant up-and-coming minds in the league today. (Thank GOD!) But to see him take any sort of ‘role’ with a passing attack after what we saw with the Bears…..is laughable, to say the least.
Granted, things could change in a new setting. He could end up doing a good job with the passing game in Jacksonville, which averaged roughly 205 yards per game last season. That kind of stuff happens all of the time in this league all of the time. It wouldn’t be a crazy thing to consider.
But until that happens, all I have to really say about this is…God speed, Trevor Lawrence. Hoping for nothing but the best for you, pal.
In the end though, as always…what do I know? I’m just a guy from the Midwest, with a beer and a laptop, trying to make sense of this world.
