Rockets Get Past Wolves To Open Post All Star Break Play

The Houston Rockets are officially into the stretch run of play as the post-All-Star break schedule opened Friday Night.

Houston got things started on the right foot as they took down the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-115 at the Toyota Center.

Jalen Green led the way with an impressive 35 points while knocking down several clutch shots in the 4th quarter to seal things.

All-Star Alperen Sengun finished with a solid 24-point and 13-rebound double-double.

Amen Thompson was another star of the night collecting 17 points and 10 rebounds with 6 assists to go along with it.

Tari Eason was still in the starting lineup and he contributed 12 points on 5-10 shooting with a steal and two blocks.

Jabari Smith was back in the lineup for the first time in the last 22 games and scored 15 points off the bench.

Aaron Holliday also was in double figures off the bench with ten points.

The Rockets were able to outrebound the Wolves 48-35 after being outwitted on the glass for most of their rough stretch before the break.

On the defensive end, Houston was able to hold Anthony Edwards to 1-6 shooting in the 4th quarter despite him finishing with 37 points.

Next up, the Rockets will take on the Utah Jazz tonight on the second night of a back-to-back.
