5 Biggest Winners from the 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is officially in the books.

From the first round on Thursday night through the selection of Mr. Irrelevant, teams improved at much-needed positions. There were a few teams that stood out above the rest this past weekend.

Below, check out five big-time winners from the draft.

5. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have built a reputation on the defensive side of the ball and got much better once again on draft night. The Ravens selected Georgia safety Malaki Starks with the 27th pick on Thursday night. Starks and Kyle Hamilton make up an insane duo in the secondary. The real steal was on Friday night. Off-the-field issues allowed Marshall edge Mike Green to fall and the Ravens reaped the benefits. He is one of the best edge rushers in the draft and it filled a major hole for Baltimore.

4. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers did something that it did not do at any point during the Aaron Rodgers era — draft a wide receiver in the first round. This had not happened since 2002 but the Packers were big winners by adding Texas WR Matthew Golden. Green Bay has depth at receiver but needed another threat that could turn into a No. 1. Golden fits that bill and will work great with Jordan Love.

3. Los Angeles Chargers

Jim Harbaugh continues to build his team his way. We saw this last year when Joe Alt was added to play on the other side of the line of Rashawn Slater. Harbaugh likes to be big in the trenches and run the football. Enter Omarion Hampton. The Chargers signed Najee Harris in the offseason and now have an intriguing duo in the backfield.

2. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns started the draft red hot. It moved back from No. 2 to No. 5 and acquired a 2026 first-round pick in the deal. Cleveland selected Mason Graham with the fifth pick and were off and running. The Browns did not move back into the first but remained busy. As for the quarterback position, Cleveland selected Dillon Gabriel on Friday night. While this pick was head-scratching, the Browns made the exciting move to finally get Shedeur Sanders off the board. Cleveland is a team with plenty of options all of a sudden.

1. Chicago Bears

Since Ben Johnson was hired, the Chicago Bears have completely revamped the offense, beginning with the line. Tight end was the biggest need for the team in the draft and they addressed it right away with Colston Loveland. There is a clear vision for Johnson the Bears this season and it has been put into motion.
