3 Best Landing Spots For Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets parted ways this offseason.

The future of Rodgers is unknown but if he plays, there could be some potential landing spots. The intrigue will not be what it used to be but there could be teams looking for a potential bridge option in a future Hall-of-Famer.

Below, check out three teams that could be interested in Rodgers this offseason.

3. New York Giants

The New York Giants will be looking to add multiple quarterbacks to the roster this offseason. This could be in the draft but also through free agency. Rodgers could be an option for next season while the young player sits for a year. Logistically, this makes sense for Rodgers. He currently lives in New Jersey and would not have to even change stadiums.

2. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings opened up their window much earlier than expected. The team won 14 games with Sam Darnold under center in a year where Kevin O’Connell was named NFL’s Coach of the Year. now, Darnold could be looking for a lucrative contract in free agency after revitalizing his career. This means the Vikings have two options. They can either throw J.J. McCarthy into the starting role off a knee injury or get another bridge quarterback. This situation works well for both sides. Rodgers can play for a contender and the Vikings get an experienced bridge into McCarthy.

1. Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams remain the most intriguing landing spot. The one caveat is whether Matthew Stafford gets traded. With recent remarks about a new contract, it seems likely that Stafford gets moved this offseason. Despite rumors about moving Stafford and Cooper Kupp, the Rams are not rebuilding. This is a franchise that was a play away from knocking off the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round. This is a team that is ready to win and Rodgers could help keep them as contenders in the NFC.
