2025 MLB Season Preview: Young Stars Look To Lead WASHINGTON NATIONALS

The Washington Nationals have been rebuilding their roster for years now and the young talent on the team has finally arrived.

Washington made the big-time moves to bring up both James Wood and Dylan Crews. Wood has been regarded as one of the top prospects in Major League Baseball and got valuable experience last season. Crews was brought up at the end of the season but the former No. 2 overall pick in the draft will get a chance to be the everyday centerfielder this season.

Along with this duo is standout shortstop CJ Abrams. During the early years of his career, Abrams has been dynamic at the plate and on the base paths. There is work to be done in the field but at just 24 years old, there is a chance to make improvements. He is one of the cornerstone players for the National moving forward.

In the rotation, Mike Soroka will be looking to revitalize his career after a quick start in Atlanta. Injuries have hindered his progress but he remains an interesting option with Mackenzie Gore and DJ Herz. These are two other young players that Washington feels good about.
